Acrylic is highly recommended for its optical clarity, high tensile strength and outstanding light transmission properties. Acrylic rod and tubing is easily fabricated with acrylic cements and/or solvents. Use clear rod to create interesting effects with light, and tubing for everything from applications such as displays, arts & crafts, and much much more.
Keep in mind that extruded tubing is inexpensive and easy to work with but you are not able to machine this product. If you need exact tolerances or machining ability you need to be using cast acrylic rod or tubing. Acrylic is unaffected by sunlight and will maintain stability over a wide range of conditions.
