There are several choices available for signage materials. The main ones stocked are acrylic or impact-modified acrylic.
Acrylic Sheets
Acrylic is a thermoplastic material with very good strength, stiffness, and optical clarity. Standard sized sheets are generally 48″ x 96″ in a variety of colors and thickness’. Other sheet sizes may be available on a custom order basis.
Acrylic sheet is easy to fabricate, bonds well with adhesives and solvents, and is easy to thermoform into shapes for pan faced signs. Acrylic is considered to be 15x the strength of a piece of glass the same thickness.
Impact-Modified Acrylic
This material is just as it’s names describes. It is a modified acrylic designed to be more impact resistant than standard acrylic for problem areas or larger signs where more force may be applied to a sign because of size. Standard sized sheets are 48″ x 96″ in colors or larger sizes are available in white.
Impact-Modified acrylic is also easy to fabricate, bonds well with adhesives and solvents, and is easy to thermoform into shapes for pan faced signs. Impact-Modified acrylic is considered to be 3-4 times the impact strength of standard acrylic.
